Kate Jackson
Kate Jackson, Project Team Leader, started with OHAfrica in May 2007. Kate has more than 25 years experience in public health management, most recently as Regional Director in the East Region office of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. She holds a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Queen's University. Kate has managed projects and led health care teams in the hospital and community sectors, worked in First Nations communities, and acted as a corporate health consultant. She has travelled extensively throughout Asia.
Dr. Pushpa Narayanan
Dr. Narayanan is a public health specialist with over 20 years experience in areas such as tropical and infectious disease, maternal and child health, ambulatory care and emergency room care. She received her medical training in India and holds Masters’ degrees in Psychology and Public Health. Having worked extensively in challenging environments in both Asia and Africa, Dr. Narayanan brings international HIV treatment and counselling experience to Lesotho.
Constance Howley
Constance Howley is a Nurse Practitioner with 18 years experience in HIV/AIDS clinical care, research, community development and policy development. Constance works as an HIV/AIDS consultant and clinician for the province of Newfoundland and coordinates clinical research with the Canadian Trials Network and Memorial University. She is the primary source of contact in the health care system for HIV-infected people in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Darryl Perry - Chief Executive
Darryl Perry brings to OHAfrica a strong background in the HIV/AIDS sector including his recent position as Executive Director and Chief Executive at the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) as well as his highly recognized role as Executive Director and Chief Executive of the AIDS 2006 Toronto Local Host of the 16th International AIDS Conference held in Toronto in August 2006. The event was the largest global AIDS conference over the past 25 years, attended by 28,000 participants from over 180 countries. Prior to his involvement in the non-profit sector, Mr. Perry was a career federal public service executive. His experience includes work with Health Canada on the first National AIDS Strategy and AIDS Community Action Program and AIDS in Canada’s correctional system as well as infectious disease and First Nations health. He is a member of several AIDS service organizations and has volunteered with the AIDS Committee of Toronto. He has been a consultant in strategic management and executive performance in the non-profit sector, serves as a judge or mentor in professional public relations awards programs, and chairs the Board of a downtown Toronto condominium complex.
Alicia Homer - Director of Operations
Alicia Homer joined the OHAfrica project as the Toronto Project Manager in 2005. She has over 15 years experience in international development work and program management, specializing in the areas of literacy, primary health care and gender issues. Before joining OHAfrica, Alicia worked as a consultant for various educational and international development organizations in Toronto and Washington, D.C., and was the Associate Director for World Literacy of Canada. She has lived and worked in India and Africa.
